POSITION SUMMARY:
The People Business Partner adds value to the business by being a strategic, commercial business partner to the designated Group Functions/Village teams, leveraging every opportunity to influence the people agenda to positively impact footfall, sales and yield. Coaching people leaders to raise the bar, focusing on talent development and growth, whilst ensuring our colleagues perform at their best every day.
We are looking for an international, experienced People Business Partner who is comfortable working in an entrepreneurial and fast paced environment with excellent coordination skills. The People Business partner will report to the People Director and will work alongside the Group People centralised services in the UK (shared service team and centres of excellence)
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
*Arrange/co-ordinate/ conduct the candidate interview and selection process including briefing agencies when appropriate

*Liaise with Recruitment team based in UK  to arrange the placement of job advertisements
*Proactively look for stagiaires/students ; make our name known.
*Monitor status of candidate searches
*Enter relevant info in the recruitment dbase, follow up
*Assist PD to get offer letters out prepared by the shared service center.
*Liaise with shared service center to prepare and send out new starter documentation and prepare new starter packs
*Ensure that new starter documentation is signed and returned and that relevant documents are forwarded to the appropriate departments prior to payroll deadlines
*Liaise with shared service team to create new employee files (also create local hard copy) 
*Liaise with center of excellence to prepare induction for new starters in co-operation with line managers and follow up to ensure that induction is completed
*Creates purchase order forms
*Liaise with interim agencies for weekly input

*Follow up with Finance teams in Maasmechelen Village on any pending HR matters
*Support the PD with the performance review processes.
*Check and distribute correspondence prepared by the shared service team to employees relating to promotions, salary increases, etc. 
*Set up reminders for regular catch-ups between PD and new starters
*Ensure that all docs for employee files are send to the shared service team
*Assist PD with budget preparation.
*Monitor fixed-term/consultancy contract expiry dates and communicate to PD
*Liaise with shared service team to draft employee references
*Support with training and development of employees by liaising with the training center or follow up locally for the organization of courses,
*Ensure that PD is kept informed on sick leaves, holiday issues and other local issues.
*Liaise with shared service and other relevant departments (finance/office); to monitor leavers, ensuring that the appropriate leaver paperwork is completed and their files are archived
*Support the PD with any ad hoc project work
*Be the eyes and ears if PD is absent
*Keep track of important deadlines and remind PD
*Responsible for filing and archiving
*Assist PD to deliver workshops on people related topics or new tools/systems
*Participate in global people calls upon request
*Follow the local labor law developments and inform PD if deemed important.
*Explain/ guide/coach employee in the change management process and refer them to the appropriate service or PD
*Prepare and give input to global payroll team for month payroll execution and check it/ follow up.  
*Support the retail team with recruitment activities for brands

Be the future Consider external best practise, leverage internal innovation and creative ideas to deliver an improved people service to designated Group/Village teams. Leverage every given opportunity to raise the bar, and keep improving.  5 KEY DELIVERABLES… 1. Effective performance management – Proactively support the Performance Management process to drive a  high performing culture throughout the designated Group Functions/Village teams. Encourage ongoing developmental conversations take place throughout the calendar year, with real time feedback given and requested, uploaded into the People Portal for reference. 2. Resourcing – In partnership with the hiring managers, develop and deliver against the strategic resource plan for the Group/Village teams – ensuring robust talent acquisition decisions are taken, coupled with budget management and control in partnership with Finance. Leverage the People Portal Recruitment system to manage all recruitment activity. Encouraging internal mobility and development wherever possible, identifying opportunities for high potential talent to develop internally. Minimising the risk of losing talent, and reducing turnover. 3. Talent development – Positively drive and promote the use of the talent development processes and tools as created by the Talent COE. Partner the team leaders/people managers to create a talent pipeline for their team/function; identifying capability gaps, and developing solutions to mitigate risk.  Ensure up to date and relevant PDP's in place for all colleagues to support personal and professional growth. 4. Employee Relations - has a sound knowledge and appreciation of employee relations practice and issues across jurisdiction. Is able to provide effective, legally compliant advice and solutions to line managers in areas including poor performance, redundancy, discipline and grievance, absence management. Avoiding unwanted exposure and risk. 5. People Services – create collaborative working relationships with the People Services team, responding in a timely manner to cases in line with the escalation process. Proactively encourage a self-service culture for all ‘everyday essentials' in collaboration with the People Services team.  

Profil recherché

BACKGROUND & SKILLS:
*Minimum 8 years' experience in an international HR role, within a large rapidly changing and fast paced global environment.
*HR degree educated essential
*Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
*Accuracy and attention to detail
*Confidentiality and discretion are essential
*Fluency in English and Dutch. French desirable.
*Flexible – able to multi-task – and proactive
*Self-motivated – able to manage own time and work with ‘remote' colleagues
*Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Internet)
*Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritize workload
