WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As EMEA Inventory Controlling Analyst, you will join the EMEA Inventory & Supply Chain Accounting team and will help build our Controlling offense with the EMEA Fulfillment and Operations teams.
You will champion a continuous improvement mindset and drive optimized processes and practices across our EMEA inventory and supply chain accounting processes, systems, and controls, ensure financial statement accuracy, and enable NIKE's operational and marketplace strategies and ongoing growth.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Plan, coordinate, monitor execution of NIKE's program for internal controls over financial reporting of inventory and related supply chain and logistics costs. Document plans and results in compliance with Nike's global policies
- Serve as the Controlling preparer/reviewer for certain key and non-key controls within NIKE's EMEA Supply Chain
- Drive internal control (including Sarbanes-Oxley) process improvements to optimize our procedures and to better serve our stakeholders
- Collaborate with key business stakeholders (including Operations and Finance) to improve key metrics, processes, and reporting
- Ensure the right governance model is present within EMEA Supply Chain by performing risk assessments, re-assessing control environment and monitoring execution.
- Plan, design, and implement controls for new business models and expansion of supply chain infrastructure in Nike's growing EMEA supply chain network.
- Support ad hoc projects and analysis with a focus on process improvement, automation, and improved management reporting
- Support Nike's Internal and External Auditors with walkthroughs and control testing
- The role is based at Nike's European Logistics Campus in Laakdal, Belgium.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
- You will work with stakeholders from Operations, Inventory and Supply Chain Control (I&SCC) Reporting, Finance Governance & Controls, External and Internal auditors, Global Inventory Control teams.
WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE:
- Bachelor/Master's degree in Accounting or Finance/related field
- In progress of obtaining a Professional Finance qualification in next 2 years (CPA/equivalent) is preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience in private or public accounting (Big 4 experience preferred)
- Familiarity with reporting requirements for US-listed companies, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks with management
- Strong ability to handle and effectively prioritize numerous and competing priorities and requests
- Standout "can do" attitude and enthusiasm to drive and innovate processes
- Strong critical thinking skills in order to identify issues and accounting impacts outside of standard process
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word; knowledge of Python is a plus
- Ability to assess financial risks and controls across end to end business and operational processes
- Strong enthusiasm and passion for the NIKE brand
