The purpose of the Wholesale Strategic Trade Lead is to maintain consistent focus on in season trade throughout the go to market calendar phases. The strategic trader will lead the team of replenishment analysts and wholesale traders. As such he/she will manage, prospect and supervise the implementation of new connected inventory models in collaboration with the sales operation's teams.

On a weekly base the trader will provide sell in/sellout/inventory insights for the whole North Wholesale ecosystem in order to identify risks, opportunities, highlight trends and outline a direction for future forecasts. The trader will also inform seasonal investment based on his deep understanding of market dynamics, company operations and product trends.

For each season the trader will design and lead inventory clearance activities, facilitate the buildup of peak season sales inventory through the setup of targets, product packages and in close collaboration with the commercial teams.

Lastly, the trader will inform the AI and Supply teams in order to validate and implement a machine learning informed forecast for long life cycle products.

Key Results:

  • Annual Financial Plan
  • Sell-in and inventory targets for the managed replenishment engines
  • Excess inventory targets

  • Manage the Replenishment analysts and wholesale trading team
  • Work closely with the Sales Ops team to lead the prospection and the implementation of new replenishment engines
  • Weekly monitoring of Sell-in/Sell-out/Inventory trends for WHSL North ecosystem and prepare insights for the WOR Meeting
  • Organize a weekly trade meeting with the planning team to highlight ongoing trends and outline recommendations for future FCST
  • Attend weekly trade meetings with accounts to gather feedback, adjust AO parameters, address trade opportunities
  • Prepare Monthly and seasonal insights to steer the reforecasting and pre-season invest for pre-season planners. Provide insights to shape assortments, highlights invest/divest areas in the product portfolio
  • Supervise the creation of ISPR packages, set targets and follow-up on the execution on the BCOM platform and with sales accounts managers for key accounts
  • Lead the concrete application of Trinity forecast through the creation of a POD with representatives from supply and machine learning teams (top 50 Core products monthly FCST)
  • Work with inventory management to ensure consistent in-season allocation & replenishment
  • Partner with Wholesale Merch to maximize productivity and highlight assortment opportunities
  • Conduct quantitative analysis and insights to optimize line profitability, monetize new opportunities and identify risks
  • Providing input to the development of wholesale planning reporting and analytics activities to secure account productivity and optimize inventory investment.

Profil recherché

  • You have a Masters degree (or 10+ years of combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree).

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a planning function, preferably in apparel. Experience in a digital department or innovative company is an asset.

  • You can demonstrate trading/forecasting/expertise and experience in the apparel industry.

  • You have experience understanding wholesale planning and executing exceptional quantitative skills. You're organized, self-starter person, and comply with the deadlines.

  • You enjoy work in different projects and tasks at the same time, with the ability to work with multi-functional partners.

  • You have demonstrated innovative problem solving and partnering skills.

  • You have exceptional analytical, communication, and influencing skills

  • You have interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact across the organization.
